Terms of service
Effective August 19, 2026 · Applies to linksley.com and the Linksley browser extension.
These terms are the agreement between you and Linksley when you use the service. The short version: pay for what you use, don't abuse the platform or other people, your content stays yours, and either of us can end the relationship — with your data treated respectfully on the way out.
The service
Linksley is a bookmark and link-management service: shared boards, a browser extension, tab sessions, calendars-on-boards, and published public pages. We update the service continuously; features may be added, changed, or retired. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Workspace owners and admins control their workspace: they can add and remove members, push required boards, set permissions, and — on plans with single sign-on — control access through their identity provider.
- Content saved into a shared workspace stays with that workspace when a member leaves; personal boards remain personal.
Plans, payment & cancellation
- Free plan — free forever within its limits, no card required.
- Paid plans — billed by Stripe, monthly or annually, per the prices shown at checkout (some plans bill per seat). Taxes may apply based on your location.
- Trials — where offered, a trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
- Cancellation — cancel anytime from Billing; the plan runs until the end of the paid period, then the workspace moves to the free plan's limits. We don't delete your data on downgrade — content beyond the free limits becomes read-only until you export, trim, or resubscribe.
- Failed payments — we retry and email you. If payment keeps failing, the workspace is locked (read-only) after a grace period and can be unlocked by paying; it is not deleted.
- Refunds — monthly charges are generally non-refundable; annual plans can be refunded pro-rata within 14 days of the charge on request to support@linksley.com. Nothing here limits statutory rights where you live.
Acceptable use
Don't use Linksley to break the law, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, spam, or publish content that is sexually explicit, hateful, or exploitative. Public boards are moderated: we can unpublish or remove public content that violates these rules, and repeated violations can end an account. Don't probe, overload, or reverse-engineer the service beyond what the law allows.
Your content
- Your boards, links, sessions, and pages are yours. We claim no ownership.
- You grant us the license needed to operate the service — to store your content, back it up, and display it to the people you share it with or the public when you publish it. Nothing more.
- Publishing a board makes its content publicly visible at your chosen address; you are responsible for having the rights to what you publish.
- Deletions go to a trash you can restore from; purged data is removed from our systems within a reasonable period after permanent deletion.
Privacy
The privacy policy describes what we collect and what we never do — it is part of these terms. Features that send data anywhere (session auto-save, AI filing suggestions) are opt-in and documented there.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk for other users, or are required to be terminated by law — with notice where practical. On termination we make your data available for export for 30 days unless legal reasons prevent it.
Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits; there, they apply only as far as the law permits.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we'll give notice (email or in-product) before they take effect; continuing to use Linksley after that means you accept the updated terms.
