Wedding planning generates hundreds of links over a year or more — venues, photographers, florists, dresses, registries — shared between two people and sometimes their parents. The description on each link is where planning actually lives: quoted $4,200 for 8 hours, replied in two days, includes the second shooter, available June 14 not June 21, deposit due by March 1. That is the information you cannot reconstruct from the URL nine months later. Add checklists by month — book venue, send save-the-dates, final headcount — and give them a recurring cadence for the things that repeat.

The parent who just wants to see
Share the board with a parent as view-only. They can open the venue pages and the photographer's portfolio; they cannot rename your categories, delete a link or move things around. The cap is enforced in the app and in the extension, not just hidden in the interface, and you can revoke access in one action after the wedding.
Where this is not the right tool: it does not track a budget, manage RSVPs, hold your guest list or send anything.
