A link page for a business with more than five links

3 min read · Switching & alternatives

Bio-link tools are built for a single column of buttons under a profile photo, which is right for an Instagram bio and breaks the moment you have thirty links across six categories. Linksley publishes a board as a public page at a pretty URL with categories, per-link descriptions and images, five themes, optional password protection, and optional require-an-account gating. Creating public boards is a Business-plan feature; for a personal bio link, a bio-link tool is simpler and cheaper.

What a public board gives you

In Linksley a public page is just a board you published — the same structure you already use internally: board, then categories, then links, with one level of subcategories.

Edit the board and the page updates. There is no second copy of your links to keep in sync, and the page can carry the same content your team uses day to day.

  • Five themes — Classic, Gallery, Launcher, Showcase and Card Grid — so a document list and a portfolio do not have to look identical.
  • A header image and a tagline at the top of the page.
  • A description and an image per link, which is where you write use this one after hours so nobody has to guess.
  • Text blocks and checklists on the board, not only links.
  • A pretty URL to hand out.

Control over who actually sees it

Public does not have to mean public. A share link can be password-protected, or gated so a viewer needs an account to open it. That covers pages that are public only in the sense of living outside your team: a client's onboarding page, a vendor's document set, a members-only resource list.

Bio-link tools publish a profile; Linksley publishes a collection you already maintain.

On Business, white-label puts your logo on the published pages — and on the app, the extension and the new tab — so a client's resource page reads as yours instead of as a tool's.

What it costs, and when not to bother

Publishing public boards is a Business feature: $9 a month plus $2 per person, no member cap. That includes everything a company needs internally — shared boards, per-person view-only permissions, required boards, one-action offboarding — with the public page as an output of the same content rather than a separate product to maintain.

Be honest about fit. If you want one link in an Instagram bio pointing at a shop, a newsletter and a YouTube channel, that is three links, and a bio-link tool is simpler, cheaper and designed for exactly that. Linksley starts to make sense when the page needs categories, when those links are also the ones your team uses internally, and when the page has to carry your brand.

One caveat: the board editing experience is desktop-first and there is no mobile app, though the published page opens fine in a phone browser.

Common questions

Can Linksley replace a bio-link page?

It can when your page is a real collection — categories, many links, descriptions and images. For three links under a profile photo, a bio-link tool is the better fit.

Do visitors need an account to see my public board?

Only if you turn that on. A published board is open by default, and you can add a password to the share link or require an account to view it.

Is a public link page free on Linksley?

No. Creating public boards is a Business-plan feature at $9 a month plus $2 per person. The free plan covers one private board forever, with no card.

Can I put my own branding on the page?

Yes. Any published board takes a header image and tagline and one of five themes, and Business white-label puts your logo on the public pages, the app, the extension and the new tab.
